Urinary Incontinence
We offer
a unique therapeutic program that addresses symptoms of urinary incontinence
in women, men, and children. Our trained staff is able to provide patients
with a thorough understanding of their symptoms involving pelvic floor muscle
dysfunction, which is the inability of the pelvic floor to control
the flow of urine, causing people to leak urine.
Our physical
therapists are able to evaluate and treat pelvic floor muscle dysfunction by
strengthening and retraining the pelvic floor muscles. This can be accomplished
through the use of biofeedback and electrical stimulation, instruction in a
home exercise program, lifestyle changes, and exercises to strengthen and tone
the pelvic floor muscles.
Our clinic
provides evaluation and treatment sessions that are conducted in a comfortable,
private area that maintains the utmost regard for patient confidentiality. Staff
members work closely with you in consultation with your primary or referring
physician to address and treat your symptoms of urinary incontinence.
